Joseph left Galilee with Mary his future wife
They left for Bethlehem
Though she was with child
While they were in Bethlehem
Mary had a son
She wrapped him up in linen cloth
Laid him in a manger bed
There was no room for them
In a proper Inn
Glory to God in the highest
Peace on earth good will to all men!

In the same countryside
Shepherds watch their flocks by night
Then the angel of the Lord came to them
The Lord’s glory shone round about
They were so afraid
That the angel said to them
“Fear not I bring good news
Tidings of great joy to you
Which shall be to all people
A Savior is born”
When the angel went away
The shepherds went to Bethlehem
They went to see for themselves
What the Lord made known to them
So they came in haste and found
Mary, Joseph and the Babe
When they had seen the Son
They made it known
To many others
As it had been foretold
